of Chennai. The Group is engaged in such diversified
activities as Property Development,
Construction, Hoteliering, Chits &

S.Appaswamy who had started his career
in the Indian Railways. His
spirit of enterprise however led him to quit his
employment and commence business in Real
Estate. With foresight, he visualized that in the future
significant chunk of population of the city of Chennai would have to
be housed in satellite townships in the outskirts of city. He
initially acquired and promoted number of prime lay-outs in
and around city of Madras apart from taking up
construction activity and contracts. One of such lay out
covers an area of 125 acres in Pallavaram a
model township known as "Sri Sankar Nagar"
which is proof positive of the same launched in 1973.
A number of construction projects followed and the
Group acquired an enviable
reputation for the quality of
work, timely completion, affordable prices and total
customer satisfaction.
The activities of the Group received further
impetus with the induction of the Founder's Son Mr.Ravi
Appasamy (35), who joined the business in 1981
when he was barely 17 years of age. He
attended to the business during
the day and pursued his
graduation course in the Loyola College in the
evenings. The dynamic youngster imparted a thrust to his
father's construction business by recruiting
qualified Engineers to monitor the
projects closely and to enhance the quality of the
Apartments. His drive led to completion of several large
Housing Projects. Today the Group has to its credit over 3
million sq.ft. of built up quality space,
though meant mostly for the middle income
group, but with such rich and novel comforts
and conveniences like Leading
financial institutions like HDFC, LICHFL, ANZ Grindlays Bank and
Citi Bank compete to process the loan applications of the
clients of this Group and the
entire loan processing is
practically a WALK THROUGH.
