Annanagar
is the largest planned colony in Asia. It’s so
well-planned and well-connected that people get lost here
very easily. Seriously enough, it’s not easy to find
anything here due to the sheer expanse of the place.
Annanagar
was built on the same grounds that hosted the World Trade
Fair in the 70s. It quickly went on to become one of the
hottest residential locations in Madras. It’s one of those
places in Madras that’s purely residential and is a very
good prospect for a lifetime, if you can afford it. Another
unique thing about Annanagar is that there are very few
apartment buildings, what you normally see is one of those
4-in-1 MIG blocks or Government-built apartments. There are
very few private apartment blocks, simply because big plots
of land were never sold.
